Jake is one of the nicest people we have ever known. We met Jake in 2002 and right from the very beginning, he made us feel like we were old friends. He was a very proud man, loving, honest and oh so funny. One of his favorite sayings"If you ain't dutch, you ain't much". If all dutch people are like Jake, then we agree. Jake loved to play cards and he also loved fish fries. We were so fortunate to have had both Jake and Doreen to our place on Friday, October 1st, for a fish fry. That same weekend Doreen and I tried our best to beat Norbert and Jake at Bid Euchre, but it wasn't meant to be. They won hands down, once again. We will never celebrate July 1st. without thinking of Jake and his family enjoying his Birthday bash. Beaver Lane and Wildwood Park will never be the same. We miss you already, Jake. We're looking forward to seeing Doreen at the park next spring.
