​We at the Henry Walser Funeral Home know how important your privacy is to you. As funeral home operators we have a professional and legal obligation to keep confidential all personal information we receive from you. We are committed to safe guarding your privacy online and protecting the information that we collect.  Our relationship with you is founded on trust and we are committed to maintaining that trust. The following privacy policy confirms our decision to protect your privacy and maintain the trust you have placed in us. 

 

Information Collection 
In order to purchase a product or service, you may be required to give us contact information (e.g. name, address, email address) and demographic information (e.g. postal code). Certain information is collected in order to, among other things, verify your identity for subsequent use of our service. As a visitor to our web site, you may be asked for your name and email address in various areas. Your contact information is used to contact you when necessary, and to send you requested information.  In the case where you have made a memorial contribution it will be necessary for us to forward your name and address to the charity so they can issue a tax receipt, and to the family notifying them that you have made the contribution.   With online condolences, we will privately pass your message on to the family representative. In all cases, a copy of your information may be kept for our records.

Henry Walser Funeral Home collects information through our web site at several points.  We collect the following information about primary visitors: the browser that you use, your IP address and the information that you provide on the registration form enclosed on this site.

We collect this information through contact forms and internet tracking. Information regarding the web pages visited, length of visit and time of day, dates, first pages entered, browsers used, IP addresses, geographic location and area, referring pages are collected through normal internet tracking programs.

The Henry Walser Funeral Home web site does employ cookies to keep temporarily stored information during a multi-page process.  A cookie is a small text file that our web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. You have the choice to accept all cookies, or be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies, by setting the appropriate options in your browser. Cookies enable Henry Walser Funeral Home to track usage patterns and deliver customized content to users.  Our cookies do have an expiration date. The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history. We will not supplement information collected at our Web site with data from other sources.

We offer links to other web sites. Please note: When you click on links to other web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

We take all reasonable precautions to ensure that your personal information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. 

 

Access To Your Personal Information

The Henry Walser Funeral Home maintains the accuracy of our information by verifying it with the user.  Our families may ask for access to any personal information we hold about them and they may ask that the information be corrected or updated. However, we reserve the right to confirm the identity of the person seeking access to personal information before complying with any access request. Access will only be granted to the informant listed on our contract or the person authorized to receive information from our informant.  If we are unable to provide a person with access to all of the personal information we have about them, then the reasons for the denial of access will be provided to the person requesting the information.
