Obituary for Gerald William Diebold

Diebold, Gerald:
Passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at St. Mary's General Hospital at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Joyce for 59 years. Loving Dad to Terry (Valerie), Lori Cousineau (Jaun), Melanie Arnott (Michael) and Shelley Marriott (Glenn). Cherished Bumpa to Kass (Rachel), Kayla (Gene), Jesse (Casie), Sammy, Riley, Rachel and Alex and great Bumpa to Sierra and Eden. Survived by his siblings, Bev Kropf (Larry), Brenda Wynowski, Brian Nowak (Brenda) and Betty Frey (Henry) and in-laws, Jean Wood, Gerald Stewart and Shirley Cook. He will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by parents, William and Ann, brother Wayne Nowak and grandson, Craig Diebold.
Special thanks to the nurses and practitioners on the 7th floor.
Gerald's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (vigil prayers at 6:00 p.m.) on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 11 Traynor Ave. Kitchener, on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the parish hall. Private cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
