Obituary for Luis Izarbez

Izarbez, Luis:
June 29,1935 - March 8, 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Luis Izarbez after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Loving husband and best friend of Caroline, cherished father of Maria Teresa and her husband Ivo and Joseph and his wife Michelle. Beloved grandfather of Evan, Sarah, Elise, and Gavin. Luis is also remembered by many friends and family.

Luis was a retired tool and die maker who worked at Budd Automotive for many years. In retirement Luis found great joy in family and in his many world travels with Caroline.

Special thanks to Doctor Duncan Schwarz and the devoted nursing staff of the palliative care unit of Freeport Hospital for their compassionate care of Luis.

Luis's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 11 Traynor Ave., Kitchener, Ontario on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Private cremation will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
