Obituary for Geoffrey Castle

Castle, Geoffrey:
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Geoffrey Castle on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, age 75. Geoff passed peacefully, surrounded by his cherished family. We take comfort in knowing that he is no longer struggling.
Beloved husband of Suanne Hoffman Castle. Dear Dad of Helen (Guy) Exley and Susan (Bob) Barker. Proud and loving Grandpa to Joshua and Jessica Barker, and Aaron and Adam Exley. Much loved brother of Margaret (Mick) Fletcher of England. Lovingly remembered by a very large family. Harpo will miss his “Daddy’s Home”.
Prior to retirement, Geoff was employed as a Construction Superintendent for many years. He was also a highly skilled Trim Carpenter and Cabinetmaker. Geoff had many interests including golf getaways, model trains, and travelling.
A sincere thank you to Dr. Jackson and the entire Staff of the 6th floor for their compassionate care during Geoff’s last days. This was such a comfort to his family.
At Geoff’s request, there will be no formal service. Cremation has already taken place. Geoff’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467, from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 for a time of visitation.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated by his family. (Cards are available at the funeral home.)
