Obituary for Shawn Yorke

Yorke, Shawn
Passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the age of 45.

Loving father of Jacob Yorke and Leah Hennebry. Shawn's birth mother is Colleen Hanifen and he was raised by Francis Sr. and Laura Yorke. Beloved husband of Marnie and survived by his father-in-law Randy Wagner.

Dear brother of Doris Gilmet, Joyce Zehr, Brenda Dunlop, Mary Yorke, Lloyd Yorke, Rita Yorke, Tammy Belmore-Wilson, Lisa Hanifen, Karen Hanifen and Jamie Belmore.

Shawn will be missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by parents and brothers John Yorke, Francis Yorke Jr. (Buddy) and Robert Yorke.

Shawn's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 and will continue on Tuesday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.
The liturgy service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 followed by a reception.

Shawn was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan - in his memory, guests are welcome to wear their Toronto Maple Leaf jersey or the jersey of their team of choice.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a Trust Fund that is to be set up for Jacob Yorke (cheques payable to Lloyd Yorke), would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
