Barbosa, Maria dos Santos (Pacheco)

It is with great sadness the family of Maria dos Santos announce the peaceful passing of our Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma at the age of 83 on Friday, June 8, 2018.

Reunited with her husband Manuel Barbosa (October 2011).

Loving mother of Alice (the late Joe), Adelina, Roger, Aida (David) and Carlos.

Maria leaves beautiful memories with her grandchildren, Adam, Janelle (Paul), Mark (Karyn), Joshua, David (Katy), Michelle (Evan) and Vanessa. Her great-grandchildren Tyrone, Lilly, Hunter, Ava, Xavier and Sofia.

Survived by one brother in Sao Miguel, Acores and predeceased by her parents, a sister and 4 brothers.

A special thank you to the Hewson Wing nurses and staff of Forest Heights Long Term Care for their love and dedication to our mother for the last 5 years.

The family of Maria will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.
Prayers will be offered in the chapel of the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 followed by procession to St. Francis R.C. Church, 49 Blueridge Avenue, Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Interment Williamsburg Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
