Condolence: When I think of Frieda the first word that comes to me is gracious. I met her more than fifty years ago. I did not see her often but she always greeted me like an old friend. She radiated warmth. I know that this is a great loss to the family that she loved so much. I hope that, with time, the memories of all the good times that you had with her will bring you peace.

Condolence: Betty and Rob
My heartfelt condolences to you both as you remember and honour your wonderful mother Frieda. Many happy memories flood in as I look at your mother’s picture. In the early 60s I was a struggling young housewife and mother and living next door to Frieda and Jake gave me the grounding I needed. So many happy hours in Frieda’s kitchen: coffee, always a piece of cake, laughter, recipes( I still use her meat loaf recipe), quiet suggestions re babies and housekeeping. It was a privilege to be their Albert St neighbour.
I am in Saskatchewan on Tuesday but my thoughts will be with you.
