The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.
I feel honored for the opportunity I had to connect with Trudy on a regular basis through LWWR over the past few years. The community feels her loss I can only imagine how much you as her family feels it. May her memory live on through all the lives she touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
You will always be one of the voices in my head that urges me on to challenge systems to change. Time now for you to rest and watch from above as others continue your work you started.
I had the pleasure working with Trudy on several projects over the years, most notably the Access Waterloo Region event and the Visitable Housing Project. Her leadership on the Visitable Housing Project has been an inspiration to my work in the real estate industry helping to remove barriers for accessible housing.
Brian and family, in stillness, my thoughts and prayer go with you, as you grieve the loss of both a spouse and mother. Trudy lived the very heart and essence of community in its most pluralistic and inclusive form. Her grass root passion, steadfast leadership, and unbridled quest for building community will forever inspire me.
