Groves, Ronald Gordon:
April 24, 1930 - November 2, 2017
With great sadness the family of Ron Groves announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by his family, in his 88th year. Beloved husband and closest companion to the late Beth for 61 years. Treasured Dad to Steve (Linda), Randy (Debbie), Kathy Hallman (Tom), Lori Rempel (Len) and Chris (Cheryl). Cherished Grandpa of ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the sensitive staff at Freeport Hospital Palliative Care. Although Dad was not there long, it was enough time for us to experience and appreciate their kindness.
Ron's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7th at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with a Memorial Service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment at a later date. Private cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Evangelical Missionary Church or Grand River Hospital Foundation - Freeport Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
