Bortmes, Heidemarie:

Passed away, surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Georg for 53 years. Loving mother of Brigitte Bar (Vladimir), Jurgen Bortmes (Pamela), Ingrid Schattner (Herb), Harald Bortmes (Kelly). Omi to Dominique, Markus, Mikayla, Axel, Matthias, Kyle, Quinton, Danielle, Brianna, Caden and Alexander. Dear sister of Karlheinz Krech (the late Hilde) of Germany. Dear aunt to Ute and Ralf.
Heidemarie was a very loving, caring compassionate person who always put others above herself even during her own illness.
Heidemarie's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. The funeral service will take place at 11 am on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the New Apostolic Church - Margaret Avenue Congregation, 160 Margaret Avenue, Kitchener followed by a reception. Private cremation to take place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
