Message: Doug was always on the go at UW and always easy to talk to. I saw him often, walking to one part of campus or another, with a small cart he pulled around. I’m retired now, but will miss that regardless. I also had several opportunities to talk to him about a shared passion, that was woodworking. His eyes would light up when I brought it up and it was obvious he enjoyed the conversation, but then, come to think of it, he enjoyed almost any conversation. Doug will be dearly missed.
