Condolence: Gordon had a joie de vivre that was truly contagious. It was my joy to have him come into my life. I'll miss him but have the brightness of hope that we who love him and miss him will see him again. In the meantime, bless us all with peace, comfort and understanding. Love, Michael

Condolence: We were so very sad to hear of Gordon’s passing and our thoughts are with Jackie and family at this difficult time. When we think of Gordon, it is easy to recall his zest for life and good humour but it is the memories of his kindness and compassion that we will cherish most. He was generous with his time and love and over the years was there for our family to celebrate as well as offer support on so many occasions. We will be forever grateful.
We’re moving this week and just a couple of days ago, we packed up the Cedar Chest Gordon had made for us one Christmas many years ago. It has sat at the foot of our bed for all these years and it’s a comfort to know that when it’s moved into our new home, so too will the loving memories of the man who had made it for us.

Condolence: I only met Gordon once. He came to see me at Laurier when I was filling in for Kim Barber for a term. He asked me to come to his office for a chat. I was very nervous as it was my first time teaching for such a long stint at a university. He made me feel so welcome and at ease and we discovered we both had our B.Ed because learning how to help people learn was a passion we shared. He struck me as a very kind, compassionate and gentle person. I never forgot that first meeting and the impression he made on me and how that meeting did indeed make me feel more welcome at Laurier. I think we can all aim to be more like him in our dealings with others. I send my sincere condolences to his family; I know he will be sorely missed. Rest in peace good teacher.
