Condolence: Ruth and Jim, we are sending our most sincere condolences to you and your entire family at the loss of your beloved mother Herta. Those we hold closest in our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness that they have shared and the love that they have brought into our lives. May the many loving memories of your mom give you much strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Condolence: Oma, you will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Living apart from you our whole lives makes it difficult to accept that you are gone. We always took for granted you would be there to welcome us into your home when we visited family in Waterloo. That there would always be several freshly baked, homemade peach pies sitting on your counter. We loved to listen to you tell stories of your childhood and admired your strength through and despite the hardships you endured. We laughed listening to the memories of our Dad and his brother and sisters fighting at times and taking care of one another as siblings do. We were in shock when we rolled out of bed to find that you had gone to work and had been there for many hours already. We looked forward to visiting you at the market and spending time with you there. We can remember staying up late watching you spread jam between sugar cookies and braiding Chelsea’s hair so it wrapped all the way around her head.
Oma, we will miss your honest truths and your wit. Your warm hugs and words of wisdom. We love you more than words can express and will forever cherish the time spent with you. Especially our visit a few days ago. If only we had more time… Thank you for being our Oma.

Condolence: Please accept my condolences for your loss. Grief is difficult, but your special memories can help you cope. May you find comfort in God's Word. It tells us at Revelation 21:4 that God promises to wipe your tears and remove death forever. I hope this scriptural thought will strengthen you.

Condolence: If I could spend one day in heaven, visiting those that have passed, of course my dad would be the one I would want to be with. However,the day would not be complete without spending time with your mom. Aunt Herta was my favorite aunt. I loved the parties our families threw, when we were growing up. As a little girl, she would dance me around the kitchen and tell me how much I was loved. As an adult, she was always encouraging and always had a smile. I will truly miss her and will always long for those childhood visits. As age is supposed to make us wiser, that wisdom has taught me to believe we will all be together, again, celebrating each other. Take heart in knowing she gave you the tools to love and raise your families. She taught you how to be strong and see her in the little things that happen throughout the day. Love each other and know she is beside you, watching over you.
