As most, this news came as shock to me. Over the years, the distance between two people grows further and further. It's very sad that it takes a tragic event like this for one to realize. It's been around 20 years since words were exchanged between Brian, "Beanie" and myself. Something these last few days are making me regret. Nonetheless, it's also brought many fond memories back to me from my childhood. The sleep overs, the play dates and all the memories from baseball. The Baseball memories are what sit with me the most. I believe it was 10 years or so playing on the same team. The championships that were won, league and Ontario. And how Beanie was still the only person to this day to get homerun off a strike out!!! One year, my Dad and Tony were coaching, they told us if we had a game where we committed zero errors they would take us to Blue Jay game. I remember how excited Beanie was on the way down to that Blue Jay game. My condolences go to all family and friends of Brian. I wish I could give these condolences to everyone in person but unfortunately I'm out of country at the moment. I'm truly going to take this life event as a lesson. Life is short and fragile. Rest in Peace my old friend! May you rest easy! Maybe when we meet again we might be able to throw the ball around again.
