She lived a full life.    In her 90 years she endured both good memories as well as hardships as she grew up. She had two brothers passing at an early age including one in the war. She raised a wonderful Daughter , our mom, and they both came to Canada together in 1970 from Hungary to start a new life with her Husband Michael Nagy, our papa. They worked hard to support each other and make a life here . Mama worked in a chocolate factory  along side my mother when they first came to Canada.  Following that she worked at Eric Marsland's, an electronics factory and her last place of employment was with a company called AJ Braun cleaning company.  

Once our mom and dad had us 3 children and were both working, Mama gladly watched and helped raise us 3 granddaughters.    Everyday she made sure that we knew she loved us and we are so happy that she was able to be at each of our weddings as well as see her great grandchildren be born.

We have so many great memories of her which we will keep with us.  We will miss hearing her sing happy birthday  to each of us each year, we will miss the prayers said by her at each family gathering ,  seeing her open her presents on special holidays which was like watching a kid opening a present and her popping the bubble wrap that came with it.  These were all such special moments because she was there and smiling.  She always thought she would win the big one on her favourite scratch tickets, wanting to win just once so she can give it to her family, she did this right to the very end in her time at Freeport.  

It was difficult after mama lost her husband Michael and she decided after some time to finally take that visit back home to Hungary to see her friends and relatives and where she once lived.  She enjoyed every minute of it.   She was blessed to have visited Cuba with our parents on 2 occasions.  Cuba was somewhere she always wanted to go.   She even had the chance to merengue with a young Cuban gentleman, it was not just the shot of a drink that had her smiling that day. 

As kind and adorable as she was , she also had a playful mischievous side as well.  She could be very straight forward and blunt with you to a point where some people would think she was offending you.  However, some how, she made you feel good about the dig she just delivered to you. lol  You couldn't help but love her anyway. She even had a flirtatious side, even in her 90's as they transported her from kw to Freeport she still made special note to the young paramedics with her saying how cute, young and helpful they were.   Mama just loved people in general and took every opportunity to talk with someone.   While at Freeport, she was always thanking the nurses for their care and waved to other patients saying hello as we wheel chaired her around. 

Although we will miss her physical presence in our lives , she will always be with us in our hearts and prayers watching over us. Let us celebrate her life as it was fully lived and share our memories of her with each other.
