John B. Miller has been the Musical Director at the Henry Walser Funeral Home since our opening in 2001.


John has been a professional singer/keyboard player since 1986. After singing with his father in the church choir from the time he could talk, he began studying piano at age 8. John attended high school at Bishop MacDonnell High School in Guelph, where he played with the school's national-award-winning jazz ensemble under the direction of John McLelland. His education continued at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and Fanshawe College in London, ON, studying Piano and Recording Engineering.

The band Double Exposure gave John his first opportunity to make music for a living starting in early 1986. The band became well-known for entertaining for nightclubs, corporate parties, wedding receptions, arena dances, and playing at some of Ontario's finest resort destinations. Since January 2001, John has performed steadily with the band Coming Of Age .

Over his career to date, John has built a reputation as a freelance singer/keyboardist, and has appeared on several other artists' demos and album projects. Known for vocal versatility, he is comfortable singing in just about any musical style, from religious Latin hymns and light Opera, to Country, to modern alternative Rock.
