Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, September 9, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital, two months shy of her 80th birthday.
Beloved wife of Manuel for 58 years.
Loving mother of Margaret (Ralph) Zimmermann and Victor (Helena).
Cherished Avo of Scott, Stephanie (Tyler), Rebecca and Dylan.

Maria was born in Azores, Portugal and immigrated to Canada in March 1967.
She was a prominent member of the Portuguese community, helping the Festivals of the Divine Holy Spirit.

Maria's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Aloysius R.C. Church, 11 Traynor Ave., Kitchener, on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
