Eby, Elwyn Maurice
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 9 p.m. Elwyn passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Beth" (nee Rowan). Loving father of Rick (Barb), Sharon (Doug Watson), Norm (Glenna), Sheila (John Dorey) and the late Brian (1958). Proud Grandpa of Anne, Becky, Laura, Andrew, Jaimie, Erin, Katie, Rachel, Taylor, Bryden, Tara, Graham and Marissa, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 on the way. Son of the late Maurice and Leona Eby. Survived by his sister Pauline Warnica (John). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Alberta. Elwyn was known for his quiet way of serving others and his willingness to help whenever there was a need.
Elwyn's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30-1:15 p.m on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Celebration of Elwyn's Life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hope Fellowship Community Church (St. Jacobs) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
