Obituary for Shantal Taliesha Myers

Myers, Shantal Taliesha:
Passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, April 1, 2019 at St. Mary's General Hospital at the age of 25, just shy of her 26th birthday.
Beloved daughter of Merna and Tony Myers.
Cherished partner and soulmate of Devon.
Loving sister of Elroy (Brittany), Davian (Brittany), Sheneka, Shanakay and Daron.
Auntie of Nevaeh, Leniah, Raekwon, Jahraiya and Callie.
Beloved niece of numerous aunts and uncles.
Will forever be remembered by her countless cousins and dearest friends.
Shantal was the light in the eyes of many who were blessed to have met her. She enjoyed arts, fashion and immersed herself in different cultures. Shantal was independent, charismatic, ambitious and she was never afraid to be herself. Shantal was very creative and always had a big imagination. From childhood, Shantal loved to read and immersed herself in her books, through which she sought to expand her mind and spirit.
A champion for social justice, a fashion queen, a fierce and loving presence, Shantal walked the earth with magnificent posture, purpose in her heart and a bounce in her step. Dreams of an ethical fashion empire fueled her daily life, mastering the world of retail and planning for so much more. As a student, Shantal brought her uncompromising values to the world of public relations, going on to make waves in her community with her work at THEMUSEUM in Kitchener.
A young soul taken too soon, Shantal will be sorely missed by the countless lives that she touched.
Shantal's family will receive relatives and friends from 2- 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 and from 7- 9 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A service to celebrate Shantal's life will be held at Liberty Worship Centre (75 Tillsley Dr., Kitchener) on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to "Doctors Without Borders" or "Canadian Feed the Children" would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
