The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Larry Stephenson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Larry was a colleague at Trilliium Public School. He always provided positive opportunities for his students. Last time I saw Larry was on the practice range. As always, we had a good chat about family and golf. Rest in Peace!

Condolence: So sorry to learn of Larry's passing. We have many fond memories of our sons' hockey days. Larry always a positive and thoughtful person, full of energy and of course his signature can of Pepsi. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: I was so sorry to learn of Mr. Stephenson's passing. Mr. Stephenson was my teacher in both 1st and 5th grades at Trillium Public School in the 1980s. I ended up getting a PhD and so I have been in many classrooms over the years. Mr. Stephenson stood out as one of my absolute favourite teachers all the way through my education. He had a gift for talking to elementary school students in a way that was completely relatable but never patronizing. He will be very fondly remembered by the many students whose lives he touched.

Condolence: Mr. Stephenson was my grade 5 teacher almost 10 years ago. He was the best teacher I had ever had. He always knew how to make everyone laugh, and he was never scared to talk about the cold hard truth when preparing us for the reality that is life. He always made jokes about my last name but it’s what personalized our teacher student relationship. I saw him the last time about 5 years ago and he still remembered me and said he was proud of me. I will never forget his smile, and the Pepsi can that sat on his desk everyday. I’ll make sure to drink a Pepsi for you. Rest In Peace and I hope heaven treats you good!

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I taught in the kindergarten wing while Larry worked with the Juniors at Southridge. In our retirement years we met at the adult free skates so I know he enjoyed that time of his life. He will be missed!
