Obituary for Anna Catherine Bielaski (Lorbetski)

Anna Catherine Bielaski (Lorbetski)
Bielaski, Anna:
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Anna Catherine Bielaski (nee Lorbetski) as the result of a stroke. Anna was born on June 5, 1925 in Round Lake Centre, Ontario. Anna will be missed forever by her daughters and their families; Bev and Paul Whyte, and their children David, Julie (Matthew Aubie), and Kylie (Charles Piccard), and Shelley and Glen Schindler and their children Nicole and Ryan. She was predeceased by her son, Reg (Peggy, Matthew, Jonathan). Anna was married to Peter Bielaski for almost 63 years, before he passed away in 2011. Anna came from a large family. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Lorbetski and Julianna Chapeskie; and her siblings; Mary, Frances, Rosie, Agnes, Joseph, Tessie, Frank, Ambrose, Susan, Florence and Ben. Anna was a very kind and gentle soul. She was always unconditionally accepting, friendly, and forgiving towards everyone. Anna enjoyed tending her wonderous flower and vegetable gardens. She was an avid knitter and transformed meager materials into amazing creations with her sewing machine. Anna also was possibly the world’s best baker; always having a home full of delightful cakes, pies, breads, donuts, cinnamon buns, and butter tarts. Anna spent the last seven years of her life at Winston Park Long Term care in Kitchener. She cherished all the staff who took such heartfelt care of her. She would like to remind them to not always work so hard. Anna was a dedicated Catholic. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph’s Parish (148 Madison Ave. Kitchener). As per Anna’s wishes there will be no visitation and no reception after the funeral mass. A celebration of Anna’s life will occur at a later date. Anna’s parents were both members of the founding pioneer families of Canada’s first Polish settlement in Wilno, Ontario. Despite living in Kitchener for 70 years, Anna missed her heritage and still referred to Round Lake as home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Wilno Heritage Society would be appreciated. These can be made directly at the Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St, Kitchener) or online at www.henrywalser.com for Anna's memorial.
