A quiet women of faith, Barbara was a long time, faithful member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She and Walter operated a grocery business in Waterloo and relocated to Mannheim in retirement where they often held spontaneous large family gatherings, providing sumptuous meals. Barbara will be remembered as a loving mother who welcomed friends with her generous spirit. She enjoyed music, bowling, oil painting, cake decorating, quilting and sewing as hobbies and much of her handiwork now adorns the homes of her family members.

We welcome family and friends to a service celebrating Barbara's life at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception and a time of visiting and reminiscing. Pastor Renee Sauder officiating. Private cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or WMA of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church would be appreciated.
