Yaremy, Mary (nee Kurpel)
Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 22, 2018, one day after her 90th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Michael. Loving mother of Nancy Yurkin (Tony), Paul Yaremy and David Yaremy (Debora). Proud Nanny of Melanie, Chad (Jackie), Derek, Michelle, Colin, Nicole and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Stella Szpak, John Kurpel (Betty), Helen Kress, Don Kurpel (Geri) and the late Peter Kurpel and Olga Pankiw. Survived by her brother-in-law Andy Pankiw (Slavka). Mary loved her garden and was a member of the CWL and church choir at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration.
Mary's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Pankhyda 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Service at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 131 Victoria St. S., on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
