Knowlton, David Roy:
Passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his family, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of eleventy seven (83). Beloved husband of Betty (nee Bonn) for 56 years. Loving father of Jason (Bridget). Much loved grandpa of Jordan and Simon. Dear brother of Joan Gingerich,and Carol Davis (Don Schott), and brother-in-law of Lorne. Predeceased by his parents W. Roy and Madeleine, brothers James (Eva) and Martin, and brothers-in-law Ralph, Donny, Bobby Bonn, John (Bud) Davis, Bill Gingerich and sister-in-law Shirley. Will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
David's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the KW Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

Very sad to hear of the passing of an old neighbor. As a kid, I lived across the street from Dave and was constantly over bugging him as he worked on his many cars. He was always kind, friendly, and patient with me. He even gave me my first ride on his motorcycle when I was five. A memory I still cherish. They say you can't pick your neighbors, but honestly, with Dave and his family, I couldn't have picked better ones.
