Dorothy Fern Vieregge passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Alfred Vieregge for 57 years. Loving mother of Gail Piitz (predeceased), Philip Piitz (Heidi), Richard Vieregge (Jill) and Linda Vieregge (Barb). Proud grandma of Jonathan, Daniel, Kate (Francois), Tim, Jessica and Travis and great-grandmother of Felix and Annabelle. Survived by her sister Jean and brother Jim. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her first husband Walter Piitz and siblings Earl, Ross, Marjorie and Bob.
Fern's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30-3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the chapel on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
