I am so sad about Toms passing. Both Sherry and Tom have been my dear friends ( Tom a surrogate dad to me) since moving into the neighborhood back in 2010. I have known the two of them for over 8 years . Weve become close friends and I was happy to support them both through his illness over the last 6 yrs. I will greatly miss Tom and our walks in the neighborhood with Sherry, being excited for them both in the Ride For Dad, hanging out on their balcony as Sherry taught me to crochet a blanket, taking each other out for lunches, keeping up to date and supporting them throughout his care, and many other opportunities of quality time together throughout the years. I am so greatful for being a part of their journey and even more greatful for being able to say my goodbyes before he went to Lassard House for his final few days . I was able to spend a lot of time with them both this summer while he was in the hospital ( GRH- and Cambridge hospital) as well as Freeport and when he returned home before going to Lassard House.
