Ferrie, Caila Laraine:
Of Kitchener, Ontario left us on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.
Caila was born on January 3, 1985, in Toronto, ON, to parents Deanna Zenger (nee Senkiw) and William (Bill) Ferrie. A passionate and free spirit, Caila was known by her family and friends to be sharp, smart, and solitary. "She loved reading and her 5000 books were a source of comfort and pride to her" said her partner Andrew Douglas. She loved music, was a lousy singer and loved to cook, but we aren’t sure about that either! She loved her faeries and most things Celtic and Gaelic, including her name Caila which is Gaelic. Caila had many acquaintances but saved her inner circle for a few close friends. The ones Caila did have were life long and inseparable. Catherine (Cat) Soehner was the sis she never had. Caila loved her dearly and Cat will forever be part of our family.
Caila is survived by her mom Deanna and dad, Frank Zenger. Her father Bill Ferrie of Southampton. Her loving partner Andrew Douglas and his son Eric. Her BFF and sis Catherine Soehner, and her beloved kitty, Shay. In addition to her favorite Aunt Pam, Caila also leaves behind numerous aunt’s, uncles, step-sisters and cousins in her extended family.
Caila's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday September 30th, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 3 pm.
