Condolence From: Shannon McVicar
Condolence: So sorry to hear about Joan's passing. All three of our girls spent time with 'Joanie' at her daycare back in the late 90's and early 2000's. She was an absolute god-send when we found out our second pregnancy was going to be twins - she had some experience in that area (!) and was such a help when the girls first arrived. We will never forget that - and all the good memories that she gave the girls from their time with her. A wonderful, wonderful lady. May she rest in peace. She will be missed. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire family. Love Shannon, John, Rebecca, Darcy and Sydney (McVicar).

Condolence: Kim and Family,
I have fond childhood memories of the 'Smith Residence'. I was also fortunate enough to go on a road trip to Varney with you (first time on a mini-bike). Your Mom is part of my vault of memories. May she rest in peace and may your memories comfort you and yours. Love Jo

Condolence: I used to be Joan's regular 2 hour weekly homecare PSW in her home off of Stirling Avenue. I remember Joan being a VERY nice lady, always very friendly & kind to me, regardless of any struggles she was facing. Always had a nice smile & a great laugh. I truly enjoyed every one of my visits with Joan. My heart felt condolences to the family & friends of Joan.

Condolence: Our heartfelt condolences. Joan was a beautiful soul. Our daughter Emily was one of the many children that Joan took care of over the years. Joan was truly one of a kind. Emily still has her “magic” unicorn that Joan gave her. She is now 19 and still cherishes this. She will be missed dearly. I’m sure she will be watching over all the children in heaven. Xoxo Rob, Colleen, Emily and Bret.
