Passed suddenly but peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Bill was the proud President of Unifor Local 1106 for the past 12 years. Bill's passion was helping working people. Bill is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Shea (Chris), sons Brandon (Melissa) and Rob (Elena), grandchildren Ashley, Cole, and Jamie McLachlan and special friend Stella. He will be remembered by all his family, friends and coworkers. Many thanks to the excellent staff at GRH ICU who took wonderful care of both Bill and his family. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at Local 1106 Union Hall, 600 Wabanaki Dr., Kitchener on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted for Women's Crisis Service of Waterloo Region at that time. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener 519-749-8467.
