Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Maria Otilia Lopes for 58 years. Loving father of Idalio (Sue) Lopes, Paul (Tammy) Lopes and Angela (Mike) Tennent. Proud grandfather of Jason, Nick, Adam, Sarah, Cole, Braeden and great-grandfather of Taiya, Zack, and Olivia. Dear brother of Adelina, Alvarino, Manuel, Leonel, Angela, Serafin and the late Jose and Leonor. Son of the late Serafin and Maria Livramento.
Joao's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers 7:30 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 300 Simeon St., on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery
