Obituary for James Alexander Murdoch

Murdoch, James:
Sept. 24, 1932 - July 28, 2018
With great sadness the family of Jim had time to say goodbye amid my tears and some laughter. Standing room only at St. Mary's Emergency were his wife Carol, their children Michele (Tom Worndl), Mike (Teresa Donnelly), Nancy (Steve Tallon), Greg (Katharine Banks), Mark (Sue), Jennifer (Dan Martin), and Jay (Angela). Also survived by his 20 grandchildren and his sister Margaret Badeau. Jim gave freely of his time and talents to many local organizations, but most importantly he was an exemplary husband, father and grandfather. Jim was always a gentleman, had a wonderful sense of humour and constantly reminded us to be grateful for the many blessings in our lives.
Jim's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Dr., Kitchener, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Private cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or to Lions Foundation of Canada - Dog Guides would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
