Condolence From: Linda Roussy
Condolence: As I know so well, the "first" year after losing a love one is especially emotional. Every "first" brings memories of happier times and so I have part of a poem to share with you: You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray she could come back or you can open your eyes and see all she has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her or you can be full of the love your shared. You can remember her and only that she is gone or you can cherish her memory and let her live on. Do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on David Harkins Thinking of all of you and sending prayers. Hugs, Linda

Condolence From: Carolyn Saunders
Condolence: I had the great pleasure of growing up with the Batte family. They were one of the first families I met when we moved to Kitchener. Marg always had time to talk and ask about your life. She was quick with a smile. Even years after I had moved away the Batte household was always one I was welcomed into to. Marg had dinner or at least a cup of tea for me and my children. Pat, Paul, Marilyn, Sue and Karen please know you are in my family’s hearts and prayers. Love always Carolyn Bill Reah and Dawson. Saunders - Soo

Condolence: I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your mother. It makes me realise how much I miss my own mother and the ongoing degree of their importance in our lives. I know from your stories and these lovely photos that she was a strong, spirited, giving and loving woman whose spirit will live on in the memory of her family. "Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her . May her soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen"

Condolence: I was so sorry to have read the passing of Marjorie in this morning's Record. Such a lovely couple that we had the opportunity to share a few gatherings over the years as our husbands worked together at the newspaper. May you and the family find comfort in the days ahead as you reflect on the joys of your life together. Sincerely, Maureen
