Albina Maria (Bakete) Pringle Markus,

Passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at peopleCare AR Goudie after a 90 year adventure.

Albina was born on March 3rd, 1928 in Lithuania to her strong willed single mother Maria Bakis.
At the age of 16, she fled her home country with her brother during the war and came to Canada as a refugee. She married Shirley Victor Pringle and together they raised their only son, Christopher.

She was best known for her career in Batawa, where she made many friends within the community. After the passing of Victor, she married fellow Lithuanian refugee Staphas Markus and relocated to Los Angeles. Upon his retirement, they moved to the beautiful city of Naples, Florida. Albina returned to Canada after the passing of Staphas in 2014.

She leaves behind her son, Chris Pringle and only granddaughter, Rachel Mae.
Predeceased by her sisters Joanna and Brone, and by her brother Juozas. She leaves many loving relatives back in her home country where she will eventually be returned.

Albina's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Tributes at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
