The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert (Bob) Barclay can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: So sorry for your loss. Everyone at Gramzie's house is thinking of you. We want to pass on a poem to help you through this sad time.

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me...

Sad, but true...touching

A few weeks ago a woman was killed in an auto accident. She was very well liked, so the office shut down for her funeral and it was on the news and so on. On the day the workers came back to work, they found this poem in their e-mail that the deceased woman had sent on
Friday before she left for home.

"If tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand.

She said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,
So much left yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all that we shared,
And all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
And God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne.

He said, 'This is eternity,
And all I've promised you.
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same way,
There's no longing for the past.

You have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things,
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven,
And now at last you're free;
So won't you come and take my hand,
And share my life with me?'

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart."

Condolence From: Dave Peel
Condolence: Stuart,

I was very sorry to hear of Bobby’s passing. He and I go back a long ways!
I wish I could join you to celebrate his life – he accomplished much to be proud of! He contributed immensely to the success of Breslube from its early days when we had little money and pioneered our way into a new industry. From these humble beginnings, we built the operation into a World leader and at the same time gave credibility to this new industry. Bobby played a major role in making this happen. He was a quick learner and became highly skilled, but he was always willing to share his knowledge. He was a good manager who gained the trust and respect of all who worked with him. Above all, he remained humble and modest, demonstrating the best personal values of trust, caring for others and always giving the best he could.
To me, Bobby was always a family man who never lost touch with his roots and always kept his family close. Our careers took us in different directions, but I will always appreciate the days we spent together – Bobby was a very special person!

Condolence: Our hearts and prayers are with you during this time of sadness. We know the difficult days that are ahead of you but your memories of Bob will pull you through. Bob and I go back 37 years between Breslube, Safety Kleen and Crystal Clean.
I will carry him in heart for the rest of my days. Teresa also worked at Crystal Clean and knew Bob and what she remembers most was his smile, very friendly and yet quiet at the same time. Our hearts are with all of you, Bob's family, today and in the days to come. God Bless.

Condolence: To all of Bob's family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you at this very sad time. I worked at Breslube/Saftey-Kleen with Bob. No matter what was going on in the plant, if Bob was in the front office, he always had a smile and a hello. That's what I remember about him. I'm sure there are many wonderful stories that will warm your hearts over the next little while. Hold them close to help you get through this.
