Obituary for Alan Robert Davis

Davis, Robert Alan:
1941-2018
On, October 1, 2018 in peace after a long painful struggle with Parkinson's Lewy Body Dementia.

Devoted husband to Yvonne (nee: Foster) for 54 years.
Proud father to Steven and Joanne (nee: Hess).
He was a proud Pippi and will be missed Tyler (Maggie) Kelli and Kylie.
He will be lovingly remembered by his maternal clan in Aberdeen and in Newtonhill Scotland.
Predeceased by his mother Amelia (nee: Cooper), father Frederick, brother John and step father Thomas Norrish.

He was a Navy man, in 1968 he was appointed acting Sun Lieutenant in her Majesty's Royal Canadian Naval Reserve. He spent years associated with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp AJAX in Guelph, Commanding Officer 1971-1975.
Alan enjoyed his time spent as a drummer, with the Sea Cadet AJAX Drum Corp, The Preston Scout House and the Guelph Royal Aires marching bands.

He was dedicated to his founding business ALCARB Resources for 35 years.

A special thanks to Dr. Ruth Gingell-Potts for her medical support and care during the years of our sad journey with this devastating disease. We appreciate the supportive care from the staff and doctors at Grand River Hospital and Freeport Palliative Care Unit to ensure his peaceful last hours.

At Alan's request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place, a private family interment to be held at a later date.
