Passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Mary's General Hospital at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of Rosa Maria Barbosa.
Loving father of John Barbosa, Ana Jameson (Leland) and Sandra Lima (Nuno).
Cherished grandfather of Justin, Hayden, Emmett, Sonia, Austin and Nathan.
Dear brother of Maria de Conceicao de Melo (Jose) and Carlos Barbosa.
Will be missed by many friends.
Predeceased by his brother Duarte Barbosa.

Gil's family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 148 Madison Ave. S., Kitchener, on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
