McCaw, Ross
Passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in his 86th year. Predeceased by his life partner Jeannette "Jenny" Lavery in 2011. Son of the late Doris and Walter McCaw. Predeceased by his sister Mary and brother Bert. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Cared for by his nieces Lynda Miller and Patti-Jo Lavery-Verkley and friend Graham Dinkel. Ross was a member of Legion Branch #530 and the YMCA. He worked for the CBC in Toronto for 37 years, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he worked for various radio and television stations in Woodstock, Kitchener, Galt, Wingham and Hamilton. Special thanks to the amazing staff at St. Mary's Hospital - 5th floor for their compassionate care. Ross' family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Reception to follow. Private interment Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
