I wish someone had had the kindness to let me know of Gerry's passing. He was a 2nd father to me, having lost my own, at a time in Lynn's and my lives when we deeply needed it, and Joan, and clan. I cannot count the number of times I walked up two flights of stairs to share the 11:00 pm news with him. As Gini and Carol note, he was deeply and wonderfully impactful, at a pivotal time in our lives and most needed it. I will always, and have always, deeply missed him. Thank you Gerry, and Joan, and you all, for bringing such richness to Lynn's, mine, and all our, lives.

I'm so sorry that Grandpa has passed on. On our last visit together we shared food, the great news of his newest grandson, and a number of smiles and laughs. I had hoped that we would be able to see one another again this Christmas. I am certain that wherever grandpa is now he is playing a guitar, gathering new sports cards, ordering another coffee, and looking down fondly on all of us, near and far. All our love from China to our hearts and family back in Canada.
