Ilowski, Helena (Helen) (nee Holdenmeyer):
With her family at her side, Helen passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sunnyside Home at the age of 98.
Beloved wife of the late Albert Ilowski (1986). Loving mother of Roma Rastel (Henry) and Lucy Patrzalek (Richard). Cherished grandmother of Linda Shantz (Jonathan Verney), Wendy Sutherland (Jay), Christina Berube (Joel); great-grandmother of Kelly Harrigan (James); Jennifer, Sarah, Kathryn Sutherland; Shannon and Jason Rastel; Jace and Teagan Berube; and great-great-grandmother of Tyson, Liam, and Marquez Rastel.
Predeceased by her grandson Don Rastel, grandson-in-law Ron Shantz, parents Bruno and Mary (Psutka) Holdenmeyer, and her siblings, Claude Holdenmeyer and Stella Draus.
She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and the Christian Mothers Society.
Helen's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7- 9 p.m., with Parish prayers to be held at 8:15 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 66 Shanley St., Kitchener, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
