The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Aiken can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Mrs. Aiken and Yvonne & Colin and family...
Our deepest sympathies to you and the whole family during this difficult time. We have happy memories of Mr. Aiken's godly influence - as a student at Waterloo, away from home for the first time, he took an interest in me and encouraged me in studying the scriptures and in being involved in the assembly activities. He also officiated at our wedding some 26 years ago. May the Lord comfort your hearts - he is "absent from the body, but present with the Lord". Love Ken & Janet

Condolence: So sorry to hear of the passing of William. I have very good memories of "Billy" especially during my years in Kitchener in the 70's while at the U of W. A word that comes to mind in describing William is faithful. He was faithful to his Lord and Saviour, and wife Lily, and family, and friends, and work. I realize looking back that he was a mentor and "pillar" to me during my days in Kitchener. My condolences to Lily, Yvonne, and Jeff.

Condolence: I was just one of the many University students who passed through the Kitchener Assembly but Mr. Aiken always took the time to spend a few minutes with me. He cared about our lives, our spiritual needs, our emotional concerns and our physical reality. He was the kindest of men and a wonderful elder. His seat is empty and he will be missed. Having said that, I am so thankful for him that he is now with the Lord!

Condolence: Dear Lily and Yvonne,

So sorry to hear about Billy this week, but you know he has reached his peaceful dwelling. It was so nice you both were able to care for him in Petrolia for the past few years, and you all were able to be together. May you feel the Lords nearness in the next while as you try to readjust.
Sorry but we can't make the funeral but will try to get to the visitation .
Love Mervyn & Noeleen

Condolence: Dear Lilly,
Marie and I express our love to you at the home call of your beloved husband and best friend. Take comfort in the reality of Billy being present with his Lord and Saviour whom he dearly loved. Due to previous commitments we regret that we will be unable to be with you Saturday but be assured you and your family are foremost as we pray.
Much love in Christ,
Wade and Marie
