Like a ship in the night she slowly disappears over the horizon and out of sight.
We stand on the shores of life with broken hearts waving good bye and calling out to her through our tears wishing her a beautiful journey.
"There she goes, she's leaving, she's gone."
Through rays of sunshine she slowly approaches the shores of her new life.
A crowd of familiar souls with jubilant hearts are waving and cheering through their tears welcoming her.
"There she is, she's coming, she's home."

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family at the Westmount Long Term care at the age of 92.
Beloved wife of the late John Joseph Connolly (2006). Cherished mother of Colleen (Connie) and husband Robert Brittain, Allan (Cathy) Connolly, Kathleen (Kathy) and her husband Darrell Doering and Douglas Connolly. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren plus one coming.
Dear sister of James (Marlene) Durrer.
Predeceased by two sons James Connolly (1982) and Stephen Connolly (1963), parents Herbert and Anna (nee Goetz) Durrer, sisters Bernice Neison, Rita Pettit, Isabel Shortt and brothers Rupert Durrer and Kenneth Durrer.
Leona's family offers a special thank you to the staff at Chartwell Westmount LTC, especially mom's caregivers, for your compassion and kindness over the past 11 years that she has called home.
A private family funeral liturgy will be held in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, 519-749-8467, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a procession to Memory Gardens for the interment.
