Abbott, Edgar Reginald “Pops”
Beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away in his 82nd year after a brief illness at Blue Water Hospital, Sarnia on Thursday, June 5th, 2008.
Survived by his wife Alfreda Elizabeth of 59 years, his children Clive Abbott, Lorna Abbott, Beverley Scarrow, Renee Choo Chong (Steve), Alouette Holder (Randy), grand children Travis (Becky), Miranda, Michael, Shanna, Nicole, Meghan, Keegan, Scott and Brad and great-granddaughter Reegan.
Edgar will be missed by his family and friends both in Canada and South Africa.
Edgar was an avid sportsman and was involved in the activities of his children and grandchildren.
Edgar’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, June 10th from 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from 10-10:45 AM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service 11 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
